The plans for the new Royal Caribbean terminal were approved by Miami's Board of County Commissioners on July 7, 2016. Under the agreement, RCCL fully financed the construction, except US$15M that PortMiami paid for infrastructure/road works.

If you're young and traveling with friends, the Moxy South Beach (starting at 30,000 points per night) was designed just for you. While it might not have all the amenities more upscale hotels have, it's got great views and rooms with quad bunk beds. If you're driving an over-length vehicle (RV or vehicle with trailer), head to Surface Lot E, which has extra-large spots.

In addition, the port tenants operate the cruise and cargo terminals which includes their cargo handling and support equipment. The Port of Miami, styled as PortMiami and formally known as the Dante B. Fascell Port of Miami, is a major seaport located in Biscayne Bay at the mouth of the Miami River in Miami, Florida. CRUISE PORTS BY REGION
This “official” cruise parking is the only parking available at all cruise terminals. These shuttle options may include shuttles from the airport to the cruise terminal and/or hotel shuttles. Some of these options include GO Airport shuttle, Florida Shuttle Transportation, and more. When arriving at the Miami Cruise Port for your cruise, there will be large electronic signs directing passengers to the correct terminals. Given that the Miami Cruise Port is bustling with cruise ships year-round, it’s no surprise that there are several terminals to process passengers.
Passenger drop-off is offered in front of each terminal, and parking is also available at the port. If you’re flying in the night before your cruise (which we recommend to accommodate for possible flight delays), check with your hotel if they offer a shuttle from the airport. Otherwise, you have plenty of other options, including a 24-hour Super Shuttle van service, taxis, and buses. If you’re going straight to the cruise port from MIA, you can take a taxi to the cruise terminal or take the cruise shuttle bus that you can purchase tickets for through Celebrity Cruises. If you are early for your cruise or need to kill some time before catching a ride to the airport or home, there is a small park at the Miami cruise port.

More Cruise Brands and New Build ShipsModern cruising began 50 years ago at PortMiami and there is no doubt that the Cruise Capital of the World continues to expand as the world’s leading cruise port. Last year, PortMiami set another world record in cruise passengers, nearly 5 million passengers sailed through PortMiami — more than any other port in the world. It is an exciting time at PortMiami! The port is poised for yet another exceptionally strong cruise season as it welcomes a host of new cruise brands and new build ships that rank among the most innovative vessels on the seas. Independent LotsIn addition to parking your car at the port, there are a number of independent lots on the mainland, across from the cruise port. While these lots aren’t near as convenient as parking right at the ship, they do offer transportation to and from the cruise ship.
The Miami Cruise Port is ideally located just outside of the Downtown Miami area. Just over the causeway on Dodge Island in the beautiful Biscayne Bay, PortMiami offers some of the best sailaway views. Terminal C is fully accessible to passengers with disabilities, featuring ramps, elevators, and designated parking spaces. To provide a relaxing environment before embarking on a cruise, Terminal C offers comfortable seating areas throughout the terminal. These areas are equipped with charging stations for electronic devices and free Wi-Fi access. Taxis and ride-sharing services, such as Uber and Lyft, are readily available throughout Miami and can provide a convenient and affordable option for reaching Terminal C.
We don’t recommend or discourage any of the following car services (we’ve never used them), but provide them as a starting point for you to see what’s available. But if you’re splitting the cost among four or more passengers, it can be surprisingly affordable. We can’t list every shuttle service here as there are quite a few of them. Note that we don’t recommend or suggest against any particular company as we haven’t used them. All of the following, however, can give you a good start for your search. In addition to the cruise line shuttles, there are independent shuttles that can get you to and from the port.

Alternatively, just drive Downtown and follow the Port of Miami signs to cross the Port Bridge. From Miami Beach – take I-395 (MacArthur Causeway) westbound, exit on Biscayne Blvd.
Ignored by most, there is a Trolley (FREE) with a stop next to Terminal J and another stop close enough to Terminal F - find below the terminals where cruise ships dock. However if your cruise ships docks at any of the other terminals the walk can be quite long - over 3/4 mile (1 km) to Terminal B. As part of the massive PortMiami redevelopment program, new ultramodern cruise terminals, roadways and parking garages have been constructed. This, along with the planned Deep Dredge Project, would make it possible for PortMiami to facilitate even the future largest containerships in the world, the Maersk Triple E Class. The new and restructured roadway system with new lighting, landscaping and signage greets visitors to the 'Cruise Capital of the World and Cargo Gateway of the Americas'. The roadways will change again with the completion of the PortMiami Tunnel.
